Yesterday was an anniversary of a pivotal moment in my life. We all have them, “delusions of grandeur”. Some that we file away and forget and some that we celebrate. Ones could be of graduation, meeting the love of your life, the birth of your child. Moments of illumination, life changing events, self thought films in your mind of that special moment that changed your life forever. Moments that would change the course of your life.
I began my recovery process six years ago yesterday. It has not been a steadfast walk but I have felt the presence of God beside me ever since that day. Struggles and falling to my knees several times but by the grace of my Higher Power, God, I was pulled back from the brink of death.
I now have a love and celebration for my life today. It is not about the possessions we have in life but the true gift of life that God has given us. Giving and loving are now passions embedded in my heart and life because of this pivotal moment. I want to give, smile and love.
